This system measures the diameter and surface charge of particles in solution. The characterization range for diameter is 0.6 nm to 7 µm, and zeta potential of particles in the size range of 0.6 nm to 30 μm. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) uses a laser source to scatter light from particles in a suspension. The fluctuations in light intensity is correlated to particle diameter using photon correlation spectroscopy. Electrophoretic light scattering is used to measure the zeta potential of particles in solution.
